This work was created on Photoshop throughout a couple of days. It consists of about 10 different brush techniques that were placed inside of mainly polygon/triangular shapes. I created these patterns by myself with different brush techniques on Photoshop and also the use of a Wacom tablet. I created an image that was using repetition and motion to move the viewer's eyes.
DESIGN PROCESS
The idea first started from the image below and it helped me create the form it has now. I used the triangle shapes between poles to make my brush patterns.
Sketches of the patterns I wanted to start with. (below)
These are some of the pattern ideas I had to start. I wanted them to be color that compliments each other but also create some contrast as well. I feel all the patterns and colors created a very good feel.
Once I filled all the triangle spots in I realized that the main image was too distracting with the black lines and they needed to be removed. I hid the photo and it just shaped all over. I realized I could just repeat the same patterns all throughout the piece and make them smaller as I worked towards the middle. This is how I created the movement and depth in my piece.
I feel the final piece was completely different from what I wanted it to be. I am definitely more pleased with what it turned out to be from the first draft.
