I think that accessibility on web and digital platforms is something that is very important. The issue is I think a lot of people, including myself, forget about it when designing. I know for myself when i am creating webpages or digital designs I don't have the thought in my head that this piece needs to be user friendly. I just think in this day and age so many people are accessing technology now and with this much access people of disabilities have to be included in that. The term for designs that included everyone is called "universal design" and this term was coined by an architect Ronald Mace. I think the article provides a good definition from Ronald Mace saying, “describe[s] the concept of designing all products and the built environment to be aesthetic and usable to the greatest extent possible by everyone, regardless of their age, ability, or status in life” (“Ronald L. Mace”). The article does a good job of talking about how designers make choices and those choice affect how people view them. I think this article informed me as a designer for how to focus on my designs and make sure everyone can access them.
