In the about section for Amazon Rekognition, it starts with a discussion on how facial analysis works and its background. All the information shared is supposed to give insight into what is belonging to each person now. I think that all the facial information is out there and I feel it is easily accessible to the public if they tried to find it. There are many individuals out there like me that use their face for a lot of information. For instance, I have an iPhone and iPad that I unlock my devices with every day. I also have a Facebook portal that can follow wherever I go in the room. All those devices have AI features built-in and this causes issues because then they have facial and audio information on me. I’m not nervous about my protection but I believe someone could easily get information out of it. In the Amazon article, it says that people are safe and that the use of video surveillance/facial recognition isn’t harmful because the ability isn’t that strong by matching up certain photos. Lastly, the AI’s learn and improve their knowledge to successfully help the individual.
